Setup Guide – How to Connect to Japan VPN

Japan VPN uses WireGuard — the fastest, most secure VPN protocol available. Follow the steps below for your device.

Step 1: Download WireGuard

Step 2: Get Your Config File

After completing your purchase:

1. Check your email for a message from noreply@japanvpn.net
2. Download the attached .conf file (e.g., hnt-vpn.conf)

Step 3: Import and Connect

Windows / macOS

1. Open the WireGuard app
2. Click “Import tunnel(s) from file”
3. Select your .conf file
4. Click the Activate button (toggle on)
5. Your status will show “Active”

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

1. Open the WireGuard app
2. Tap “+” → “Create from file or archive”
3. Select your .conf file from your email
4. Tap the toggle to connect

Android

1. Open the WireGuard app
2. Tap “+” → “Import from file or archive”
3. Select your .conf file
4. Tap the toggle to connect

Step 4: Verify Your Japan IP

After connecting, visit: https://whatismyip.com/

You should see:

• IP Address: 162.43.74.130
• Location: Japan

If you see your real IP or a different location, make sure the WireGuard toggle is ON (green/active).

Troubleshooting

Can’t connect?

• Make sure UDP port 51820 is not blocked by your network/firewall
• Try switching from WiFi to mobile data
• Restart the WireGuard app

Not showing Japan IP?

• Disconnect and reconnect
• Check that the tunnel status shows “Active”

Didn’t receive config email?

• Check your spam folder
• Contact support@japanvpn.net with your order number
